Brigitte was born in The Netherlands. In 1987 she went to Spain where she gained extensive experience in the hotel industry. In 1996 she moved to Italy and learned the tour operating business, working for a large Italian tour operator. She continued her career as hotel division manager for a hotel group with two thermal water health establishments and 3 hotels with thermal and beauty centres on Lake Garda. In January 2002 Brigitte and her husband decided to move to Kenya where she worked as sales & marketing manager for one of the largest hotel chains in the region.
Deepa, although born in Madagascar, has lived and worked in Kenya all her life. A tour operator by profession, Deepa started her career in the late 1980s with Flamingo Tours where she rose within the ranks to head the International Sales and Marketing Team. In August 1993 she joined KOBO Safaris, a fledgling tour operator, as the General Manager. Within a short time, Deepa was promoted to the Chief Executive Officer and was instrumental in putting policies and procedures in place as well as introducing innovative sales ideas, which carried the company through the years immediately after the gulf war and September 11, 2001. She retired from the Company in September 2005.
